Restoring Beauty & Stability Along the Stream Bank

After a major construction project left a steep slope disturbed, we transformed it into a thriving, ecologically rich garden. Designed with native perennials, grasses, and shrubs that both attract pollinators and stabilize the soil, the planting also responds beautifully to the site’s natural conditions—especially the steady moisture from a lake overflow stream.
The design features a wide array of native plants, including Echinacea purpurea, Amsonia hubrichtii, Eutrochium dubium, Asclepias incarnata, Salix discolor, Ilex glabra, and Zizia aurea, with bright accents of Shasta daisy ‘Spun Silk’ for added texture and charm.
As the garden matures, it will not only provide lasting beauty but also critical habitat, soil stability, and seasonal delight—a resilient landscape designed to thrive for years to come.
